WHO I AM

My name is Caitlin, and I live in central California. I have been a wheelchair user all my life as I was born with a very rare disability. It does not stop me from being who I am and who I want to become because it gives me the chance to show people that disabilities are not a bad thing!

Having a disability may mean I do things differently, but doing things differently is fun as I can teach many people about the disabled community and how the disabled community is determined to make able-bodied people see that people with disabilities can do things on their own. My disability has shown me that having determination will change the world and will make the world a better place. Being disabled has a lot of positive things that come along with it, and that is why I choose to have a positive attitude about my disability! #StayPositive

My former service dog, Fritz, is in this picture with me. I graduated in May of 2022 from California State University, Stanislaus, with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Journalism. (Photo by a friend of mine)
